Strawberry, Bacon and Caramelized Onion Pizza

Strawberries? On Pizza? It's more likely than you think! This fun spin on a flatbread pizza features fresh strawberries, Vidalia onions, and crispy bacon for flavor that's sure to wow! Snazzy enough to serve at cocktail parties, but simple enough to enjoy for a family dinner at home too. Recipe and photography courtesy of Food Wine Sunshine

Ingredients
  • 1 sweet onion, caramelized 
  • ½  cup Strawberries - greens removed, sliced thin
  • 3 slices bacon - cooked, diced
  • ⅓ cup ricotta (use low fat for a lighter option) 
  • ⅓ cup mozzarella
  • 1 naan flatbread
  • fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.  if desired
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spray naan with spray olive oil or brush on a small amount of olive oil.
  3. Bake naan for 5 minutes.
  4. While naan is baking, mix the ricotta and mozzarella cheese in a small bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Remove the naan from the oven and start assembling your pizza
  6. Cover your naan with the cheese mixture. Layer on the caramelized onions, then bacon, then the strawberry slices.
  7. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil
  9. Drizzle with our Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing if desired
