Sausage Kabobs with Peppers and Sweet Onions
A new way to pair up the trinity of summer grilling goodness! Meat, peppers, and sweet onions come together for delicious meal-in-one kabobs. Put your own spin on this dish by customizing your ingredients!
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet onions, sliced
- 1 medium red or yellow bell pepper, cut into pieces
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into pieces
- 1 medium sweet onion, cut into thick pieces
- 2 lbs sausage, thickly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms
- ¼ cup olive oil
- salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium high heat, about 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together oil and seasonings.
- Brush onions, peppers and mushrooms with flavored oil mixture.
- Skewer ingredients up on metal or pre-soaked wooden skewers, alternating vegetables and sausage.
- Place skewers on the grill and cook for roughly 5 minutes on one side and then flip them over and cook for another 5 minutes or until sausage is cooked through.
